1. The Manali-Leh Highway:
Another beautiful drive is from Manali to Leh. The Leh Highway gives explorers a thrill of tranquil adventure and delight. The road passes through five high altitude passes. The spots are glorious and brimming with natural beauty and scenes that encompass the valley. The 13,000 ft. altitude road is open between the months of June to mid-October. Best to visit in summer.
2. Harsil:
Harsil is a little town and a cantonment region in Uttaranchal. Situated on the banks of Bhagirathi River while in transit to Hindu pilgrimage, Gangotri, in Uttarkashi region of the Uttarakhand state. Aside from being a lovely picturesque vacationer spot, Harsil is likewise a well known Apple cultivation land. Positioned at an altitude of 2800m above sea level, it is simply 25 km far from Gangotri, the origin of the holy Ganges. A drive through the hills and valleys along the Bhagirathi river is simply astounding. Best to visit with family.
3. Lahaul – Spiti – Kinnaur:
Lahaul and Spiti are two remote valleys of H.P. lying in the vicinity of Indo-Tibet border. It is a huge area of tall mountains and narrow valleys surrounded by Ladakh towards the north, Tibet towards the east, Kinnaur towards the southeast and the Kullu valley towards the south. The Lahaul – Spiti road makes for a charming drive. Lahaul is placed in the midst of a group of high mountains and falling glaciers.
Chandra and Bhaga rivers originate at Baralacha La and move through the valleys named after them. This place is situated at the junction of Manali-Leh and Lahaul – Spiti. The valley is roosted at an elevation of 2,745-meter. You can use your get-aways as summer is cool and wonderful here. The ideal duration to visit the valleys is from July to September.
4. The Jeep Safari at Garhwal:
Garhwal, a spot popular for its snow covered mountains, step farms, cold climate and a portion of the best picturesque spots in India. The whole valley of Garhwal offers you an awesome escape from the bustling city lives. A Jeep ride to one of the well known Hindu Shrines, Badrinath, is a one of its kind experience. Drive through the white cover that covers the upper portion of Garhwal valley to another celebrated traveler spot named Auli. It is extremely popular as a winter sport spot. The cable cars in Auli will give an airborne view of the entire valley shrouded in snow.
5. Shimla-Narkanda:
Shimla, famously alluded as “Queen of Hills” is famous for its New Year snowfalls. Narkanda is a town in Himachal Pardesh referred to as the fruit basket as different fruits like pear, apple and cherry are cultivated here. You effortlessly spot containers and cartons of fruits alongside the route. The Himalayan nighttimes are entrancing in its full glory with the sun diffusing the tints of red, ruby, orange, and violet into the horizon. The best time to drive to this place is in May and June. It is roughly440 kms away from Delhi.
